Did you know? The average person makes about 3.5 pounds of trash a day.
About
80% of our trash goes to landfills, 10% is incinerated,
and 10% is recycled.
How can you help? What can we do?
We can start by working together 101 protect our planet…
Start with the 3 R’s
REDUCE, REUSE, & RECYCLE
Ask
your parent, to buy products with little or no packaging. Next time when you
go shopping or need a bag, use environmentally friendly cloth bags, Use recycled
paper or Reuse old papers.
You can plant trees, especially if you have cut one down.
Turn off lights when your not in the room,
Turn off other electric things, like TVs, stereos, and radios when not in
use
Use rechargeable batteries.
Use less water. don’t waste water , don’t leave the tap on when
you clean your teeth and a 4 minute showers uses less water.
When possible, ride your bike, walk or use a bus or subway
When you’re out & about Put your rubbish in the bin "Don’t
be a tosser"
Think
101…protect our planet
Together we can work to save our planet
Remember be enivronmental friendly
Just
for Kids Healthy Life:
Eating plenty of fruit and vegies not only contributes to good health, but also protects against a number of diseases and helps maintain a healthy weight.
Most Australians eat only half the amount of fruit and vegies recommended for good health.
The amount children need depends on their age, but generally it’s 2 serves of fruit and 5 serves of vegetable per day.
Here is a good way to spread 2 & 5 through out your day.
Breakfast: Sliced banana on weetbix
Lunch: Fruit salad or mixed salad, salad sandwich, (Lettuce, tomato, cucumber etc.)
Dinner: Steamed veggies (carrot, brocoli, beans etc.), jacket potato (microwave)
Snack/s: Carrot
sticks, celery sticks or cucumber slices dipped in salsa
Or a stawberry smoothie

Denni & Shawn with BULLYING
A very touchy
subject; that most don’t like to talk about.
Have you ever been bullied Or are you the Bully? Bullying is really common
and can happen to anyone.
So here are some interesting Fact's!
WHY BULLY ? Bullies are generally physically aggressive, are typically hot-tempered, easily angered, and impulsive, with a low tolerance for frustration. Bullies have a strong need to dominate others and usually have little empathy for their targets.
Who bullies?
Bullying takes on different forms from boy to girls.
While both say that others bully them by making fun of the way they look or
talk, boys are more likely to report being hit, slapped, or pushed.
Did you know? Girls are more likely than boys to report being the targets of rumors and sexual comments? While Boys target both boys and girls, they are often physically bigger and stronger than their peers. Bullies tend to get in trouble more often, and to dislike and do more poorly in school, than teens who do not bully others. They are also more likely to fight, drink or smoke than their peers. Teen girls most often bully other girls, using more subtle and indirect forms of aggression than boys. For example, instead of physically harming others, they are more likely to spread gossip or encourage others to reject or exclude another girl.
Cyberbullying is a form of bullying, which is carried out through an internet service such as email, chat room, discussion group, online social networking, instant messaging or web pages.
It can also include bullying through mobile phone technologies such as SMS.
Yes, and it can be illegal.
A word of interest: Understanding Bullying can help make reason, but not excuse it.
Are you aware that kids and teens that come from homes where parents are not around & provide little support emotionally, failing to monitor their kids activities, or have little involvement in their kids lives, are at greater risk for engaging in bullying behavior. Even Parents' discipline styles are also related to bullying behavior: too strict or not strict enough approaches can increase the risk of teenage bullying. So is the Bully just seeking attention in the wrong way? Maybe just looking for someone to take notice , someone to care or may be someone to react.
Surprisingly, bullies appear to have little difficulty in making friends. Their friends typically share their bad attitudes and problem behaviors (such as loud, disrespectful to others feelings & property, drinking even smoking) and may be involved in bullying as well. These friends are often followers that do not initiate bullying, but participate in it.
Remember How we react is what they are looking for?
So You know someone who is being bullied
or you are being Bullied ?
Being bullied can make you feel unsafe, frightened or physically threatened.
Being Targeted by Bullies, You can feel alone. Overtime time, it can begin to affect your self-esteem and feelings of self-worth. It can take its total physically, you feel sick . It can affect your ability to concentration in school, and can lead to avoiding school in some cases. It also can increase your social isolation. Often you don’t feel like socially interacting in sport, hobbies, with family or with your friends, you withdraw and isolated yourself. Hoping it will go away. In extreme cases, bullying can be devastating with long-term consequences.
